What is PMP
®?
PMP stands for Project Management Professional. It is a certification awarded to recognise individuals who have obtained knowledge and experience in project management. The certification is awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Professional Project Management
Project management is one of the first professions that encompass a comprehensive spectrum of talents and skills, knowledge of management practices, and leadership strategies. Project management can be applied to almost any project undertaking or industry to complete objectives on time, within cost, and to the satisfaction of all concerned.

The projects are everywhere such as: developing or designing of a new product or service, effecting a change in structure, staffing, or style of an organization, developing or acquiring a new or modified information system, designing/ constructing a facility or plant, implementing a new business procedure or process, and conducting feasibility, marketing, procurement and technical studies.

Who should attend?
This course is for all those wishing to sit for the PMP examination, project managers wishing to develop a broad understanding of all Project Management knowledge areas addressed by PMI, project engineers, supervisors and coordinators wishing to enhance their understanding in various project management knowledge areas and all personnel wishing to obtain realistic case studies, exercises and examples addressing all Project Management Knowledge Areas.

The course consists of nine areas of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK 2000). Updated information on the exam format and certification process will be provided.

The Course Instructors
 All instructors are project management professional (PMP) certified from PMI, practicing project managers or consultants, chosen for their knowledge of the PMBOK and their presentation abilities.

Certificate
A certificate of completion for 36 hours (36 PDUs) will be issued to those who attend and complete the course.
