360° feedback is
a behaviorally
based study of
an individual's
performance
against an
organization’s
competency
framework. The
term 360° refers
to the fact that
feedback is
taken from
everyone
surrounding the
individual. By
drawing together
the views of an
individual’s
manager, peers
and direct
reports to
produce a
combined review
of performance,
these systems
can provide
valuable
information for
personal
development
